Yield: 2 servings
1 cups short grain rice (1/2 white, 1/2 brown)
50g soy beans
50g carrots (2 nedium sized carrots)
- Wash the rice as normal (see how to wash rice). Then add water up to level 1 for White Rice.
- Get the soy beans out their shells and peel off any “inner shell coating” from the beans. Then add them to the rice and water
- Make sure the exterior of the cooking bowl is dry, put it back into your rice cooker and close the lid. Then select the “White Rice” option and press start.
- Once the rice is ready, grate your carrots.
Prep time: 30 minutes.
Cooking time: 50 minutes.
Tip: Getting the soy beans out of their shells takes a bit of work. I shell them and then drop them into a bowl of water. This makes it easier to peel off the think film that covers each bean.
