Just recently, The Captains made their first stop in NYC before embarking on a spiritual journey across Eastern of USA. We talked to the vocalist and guitarist in front of the Old Office shortly before their performance. Thanks to Yasuyo from Love Etc. for being the interpreter.

We finally present, our long overdue interview with the Japanese comic punk band, Peelander-Z. It’s a bit haphazard in true fashion of the band’s character. Enjoy and don’t think, feel!

Happy New Year! Our first interview in 2006 is with the most fun Japanese girl band, Gito Gito Hustler. They played countless times in US and recently found home with Gearhead Records, home to bands such as The Hives, Electric EelShock, and The Spunks. A UK-based Japanese punk rock band recently made their
summer stop in New York where
they played with Peelander-Z in what could be one of the hottest nights in the
city. We talked about mosquitoes among other important stuff.

They were here for a 3-day tour in NYC and LA. I managed to catch up
with them at North Six. Thanks for Julie Lichtenstein in getting the
interview and Sammy from Destroyder for being the gracious interpreter

Once
again, Melt Banana has graced our ears with their presence. This time
they are back in the US as a support for Fantomas tour. With the recent
release of Cell-Scape, their show is becoming a must–see for music
connoisseurs. I managed to catch up with Yasuko Onuki and Agata before
their Irving Plaza show on April 5th 2004

Bleach is a girl-trio band from Okinawa. Formed in 1998, they have released two
full-length albums and have toured extensively in Japan. They recently had a US tour
in which they played at Trash Bar in Brooklyn, NY. Following is an email interview
from the show.
