An all-girl Japanese/American band from Seattle, Buttersprites, will be playing this Friday, 9/16, at CBGB 313 Gallery at 1 am as part of CMJ Music Marathon. Kamikaze wok'n roll band, The Spunks and the always happy Gito Gito Hustler are again teaming up for another East Coast Tour. The Gearhead labelmates will begin their tour on September 16th in Richmond Virginia and will head to New York City on Oct 1st for the grand finale. Karaterice will be presenting the tour finale at the Lion's Den, NYC. The Emeralds from Japan will also dive in to drop their surf style samurai rock 'n roll at the show. By the way, The Spunks have also released their 7" single featuring “Russian Roulette” and their tribute to Bass Wolf: “Can-Nana Fever”, both of which were produced by Don Fury. Currently only available at Gearhead's website.
Bulletproof Junkie is playing tonight (8/26) at 11 pm @ Underscore (1733 1st Ave bet 89th & 90th St). Admission is $5 (21 and over). They wont be playing the original venue at 13 Little Devils.
